Pitch and Fork

I didn’t get to take photos this time, but Pitch and Fork is always such a great spot. The staff are super friendly, the vibe is lively, and the food is not only delicious but also beautifully presented and really special. Big respect to the chef I love how creative and adventurous the dishes are. Always a pleasure coming here!

I’ve spent a few weekends in Toowong over the years, and watched a few games of rugby at Wests. This has also meant a few coffee catch ups, breakfasts, brunches and lunches among the brick arches of Pitch and Fork. This time, our motley group of ten descended on the place, and I was pleased that it wasn’t as busy as it can be. We all got a park easily and got straight into a round of coffees while we looked at the menu. I’ve done the Egg and Bacon Roll a few times and hit the Benedict, but I know a chef who comes over to my house for breakfast and we make Benedict together, so now I can’t bring myself to order it out. It would be unfair on the kitchen, as it will never be as good as Neil’s. On this visit, I went with the “Eggs Your Way” - and this time “my way” was scrambled, with pesto, chili and parmesan. It said chili oil, but it looked more like a few bits of actual chili in the end. It was a bit ordinary, but it got the job done and ultimately we were all just happy to be together, laughing and chatting and stuffing our faces in a relaxed environment. The others went for a range of things: the Big Breakfast, a Wagyu Cheeseburger, someone else’s eggs their way were poached eggs - we all added sides: avocado, hash browns - it was a good time. The coffee was good, and usually is, so I had a couple while we were there. While Pitch and Fork isn’t always perfection on a plate, it has community, comfort, good coffee in relaxed surroundings. If you’re in the neighborhood, it is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back and I’ll enjoy the coffee, the food and always look back positively on the memories and time spent here with those dear to me.

This place is fantastic! Aidan is an excellent manager who should be highly commended, and Fern is a wonderful server who welcomes you with a smile. They really went above and beyond and turned a minor service complaint into a great experience. I highly recommend this venue!

I’m always satisfied every time I come here. The other dishes are always delicious, but the bibimbap was something new for me — and it was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are always so friendly. Highly recommend!

Nestled in charming brick arches with cozy vibes, the staff are warm and quick, making you feel right at home. Their mushroom dishes are phenomenal—earthy, flavorful, and the best in Brisbane. Fair prices ($23~$27) and great coffee seal the deal. A 5-star must-visit!

It was the first time to visit. Nice and clean. Staff were very kindly and helpful. Food were delicious and presentable. My favorite one was home potato hash that was best one ever in my life. Highly recommend benedict with Mushrooms! Coffee also great as it was softness, not bitter. Can't wait to next visit !

Came to this cafe for the first time in a while and ordered the bibimbap. Didn’t expect much since it was a fusion version, but surprisingly, it was actually pretty good. The flavors worked well, and the ingredients were fresh. Coffee was solid too. nothing groundbreaking, but definitely enjoyable. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Really pretty cafe in Toowong with plenty of parking space. I started off with some hot chocolate which was easily one of the best I had. Then I had the Persian Mushroom Forest which had such large portion and tasted delectable. Finally, I finished off with some brownie which was so decadent and soft that I would go back for it, anyday. Must visit brunch spot with variety of vegetarian options, too!
